Composition of the approval visa file for technical experts
- Do not be a bankrupt without rehabilitating ;
- Fulfil the conditions of professional competence in the branch concerned as provided for by Law No. 90/037 of 10 August 1990 ;
- For foreigners residing in Cameroon, unless there is a reciprocal agreement, a Cameroonian colleague must be added (Article 8 paragraph 1 of Law No. 90/037 of 10 August 1990) ;
- For risks for which no approval has been given in Cameroon, the foreign expert must elect domicile at the office of an expert of Cameroonian nationality approved in a related speciality (Article 8 paragraph (2) b) of Law No. 90/037 of 10 August 1990).
Composition of the file (Articles 5, 8 and 34 of Law No. 90/037 of 10 August 1990; Articles 4, 12 and 13 of Decree No. 92 /238 /PM of 24 June 1992)
The application for approval shall be submitted in duplicate to the Bureau of the Chamber against a receipt and shall include the following documents:
1) a stamped request;
2) a certificate of nationality less than three (03) months old;
3) a criminal record extract from bulletin N°3 dated less than three (03) months ago;
4) a copy of the birth certificate less than three (03) months old;
5. or a certified true copy of a basic diploma in the chosen speciality of expertise at least equivalent to the engineering diploma and recognised by the competent authority at the time the application is submitted;
a certified true copy of a basic diploma in the chosen speciality of expertise at least equivalent to the university diploma in technology or the certificate of higher technician recognised by the competent authority at the time the application is submitted.
6) or a certificate of professional internship of at least one (01) year for applicants holding the diploma referred to in 5 paragraph 1 and issued by the sponsor of the internship;
either a certificate of professional internship of at least three (03) years for applicants holding the diploma referred to in (5) paragraph (2) and issued by the sponsor of the internship;
either a certificate of function justifying five (05) years of actual practice in a public or private body in the specialty of expertise applied for (Article 6 of Law No. 90/037 of 10 August 1990);
7. a certificate of presentation of the original of the diploma;
8) a letter of release from the internship sponsor or last employer;
9) a certificate of non-bankruptcy;
10) for foreigners residing in Cameroon;
- a certificate of no prohibition to practice in his country of origin or in any other country where he would have previously practiced
- a copy of the reciprocity agreement with the Republic of Cameroon authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, otherwise produce an authenticated copy of the association contract with a Cameroonian colleague who meets the conditions for exercising the profession of technical expert ;
11) for foreigners not residing in Cameroon,
- a certificate of no prohibition to practice in his country of origin or in any other country where he would have previously practiced ;
- produce accreditation as a Technical Expert in your country of origin in the specialty for which you wish to work in Cameroon ;
12) for risks for which no approval has been given in Cameroon, in addition to the documents listed from 1) to 4) above;
- produce the accreditation as a technical expert in his country of origin in the specialty for which you wish to work in Cameroon ;
- a certificate of no prohibition to practice in his country of origin or in any other country where he would have previously practiced ;
- produce a partnership contract with a Cameroonian expert certified in a related specialty.
